Subject:
Progress report for April 1 – June 30. (Compliance order no. 02_05_16R_005)
This is the
April 1 – June 30 progress report on the corrective action plan, to reduce
arsenic levels, as presented on February 8, 2017.
Step one of
the action plan was completed on June 7, 2017. The replacement of the filter
media and installation of a meter went without a problem.
3 sets of Arsenic
readings were taken pre and post of the filter before the media was changed.
Blended readings from well #1 and well #2 are as follows:
- 22 Feb,
2017: Pre – 20 ugl/l, Post – 8ug/l
- 1 Mar,
2017: Pre – 21 ugl/l, Post – 9ug/l
- 9 Mar,
2017: Pre – 12 ugl/l, Post – 11ug/l
As of today
I have no test data for arsenic since the filter media was changed.
Starting of
step 2, cleaning and refurbish of well #2, cannot be started until well #1 is back on
line. Well #1 has been offline since Jan 16, 2017 at your request. Testing of
well #1 is in progress. Either Dougherty or myself will let you know of the
results.
Thank you,
Bill
