BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING

MINUTES OF August 9, 2016
In Attendance:   Bill Biermann, Noel Provost and Garry Solmonson by phone
Absent: Jim Goetz

Meeting convened at 7:00 p.m. by Bill Biermann, Vice President

Approval of Minutes from Jul 12, 2016.  Recommended approval by Noel and seconded by Garry.  All board members approved .

Financials:
A. Treasurer Report:  As of July 31, 2016:   CD: $ 1017.61    
Checking: $ 43,062.43, Repair & Replacement: $ 110,496.23  
B. Invoices and Expenditures:
Ellen Fishers  Bookkeeping invoice – July 2016 - $  400.00
Dougherty July 2016 invoice: $  3,190.10
PG&E: $ 712.57  (July 2016)

Water System Operations and  Maintenance  Report:
Monthly report from water operator:

Well 1 is still unavailable  due to maintenance.  Cleaning  started  on Mar. 22, 2016.  Well 1 has completed some initial testing and flow tests.  Waiting for water test data. Estimated to be completed by end of August 2016.

Well #2:  No operational problems.  

Arsenic levels remain at  10ug/L. + or  less.  Well testing  is  be monitored and reported  on a weekly basis. 4 reading were over at 10ug/L.

Report of other Issues:  Nothing to report.

Executive Session:
a. Shareholders monthly usage report:
Of the 48 Shareholders, 13 homeowner exceeded the recommended 20,000 gal. limit for July 2016. Largest was 66,020 gals.
Total amount of water used by all shareholders for July 2016 was 783,675 gals. Total gallons pumped was 706,712.
b. Collection report – Past due account status:
Delinquent  Notice 2 will be sent to  F01.
c. Individual Shareholder issues:    H22 and P10 still in progress.
Continued Issues:  SCADA system – (Still in process)  Telemetry panel is being re-designed to function with the SCADA system.  Well 1 cleaning and updating is one part of the task to complete to work with the SCADA System. Cleaning of well #2 and cleaning and Repair of the water storage tank is also part of the installation of the SCADA system. No change in status.

WATER HOLDING TANK CLEANING:
Status as of 9 August: Primer coat went on today on the floor. Sealant will be applied tomorrow to the floor.  Washing inside the tank will take place on Friday Aug. 12th. (Depending on the weather). Project is on schedule.
Monitor the new web site for progress. (brmwc.com).

Please monitor your water usage during the refurbish of the holding tank. Our well #2 is all we have providing  water to all shareholders. If shareholders abuse the daily  usage the pump will be on for a longer period of time. If we lose pump #2 we will have no water until it is repaired.

New Issues/Information:
Member Guard Pool Alternative (Insurance item):  ON July 27th  Garry talked with the insurance company regarding this new coverage. There is no change in coverage. Garry approved the coverage and it is effective on Aug 1, 2016.
Copper and Lead testing:  Copper and lead testing from 5 homes is under way. There were mistakes made in collecting  past samples. These errors are being corrected with these samples. Testing is from the same 5 homes every 3 years. We have 3 homes in Heatherwood and are in the process of finding 2 homes in Foxhill. Samples of water should be completed by end of August.
